I have a number of 2 - 3 TB external drive, mounted in a 3 usb box with multiple drives in it

In doing some housekeeping, moving large folders drive to drive, I sometimes get

a notice that the copying cannot proceed as a folder ' _DStore ' or some such already

exists on the drive being copied to or some such.

I do the copying overnight as the folders are some times large.

is there a way to avoid this ?

if I remember, I open the large folder and move its contents by 'select all ' to
a new folder on the destination drive.

many thanks

If you've got massive amounts of files to move, a utility that does this better, like Carbon Copy Cloner, is your best choice, rather than a finder copy. The finder has been consistently terrible in multiple-hour copies, and externals timing out adds complexity to the issue.
