First let me say I just dumped my winblows pc and bought a new shiny white macbook and I love it! Ive had my macbook for less than a week.
One of the programs I used on the pc a TON was a program called "tag rename" see Mp3 tag editor Tag&Rename - edit tag in mp3, wma, mp4 files, automatic amazon and freedb import
What I am DESPIRATELY looking for is a stand alone mp3 id tag editor. I do NOT WANT TO USE ITUNES!
Any ideas? Ive looked all over the net for freeware ones, and the ones I was able to find did NOT do what I needed.
Please help this new convert to mac keep his excitement for his new mac!
Thanks a million and ALOHA FROM HAWAII!

It would be helpful to know why you don't want to use the editing functions in iTunes. That would help us figure out which other tag editor might suit you.

What Glenn Said.
ITunes is fairly potent, especially in combination with a handful of Applescripts from www.dougscripts.com . There does not seem to be an equivalent for Windows that even scratches at the possibilities that in combination with iTunes.
If you want something automated, SongGenie apparently rocks (but is not free).
