if the fan in your ibook is bad will it make weird noises? sometime right under the ibook name in and around where those vents are I get a funny sound from in there.(clicky strange sound)..I think it might be the fan? is it not spinning up? or how do they work? any others with similiar fan issues? thanks all for you info....great forum!...cheers, Mark

The clicky sound you hear is probally your Hard Drive... Even though it is located to the left off the trackpad, it causes "clicky sounds". There is a fan right where those vents are, I think that the hard drive is more likely to make the noise, next time you hear it put your ear up to the vents on the left of your iBook before the Audio out port.
