Actually, I'm posting this for a friend of mine who is in a panic ..
He has a new eMac with DVD drive. He had a iMovie project he had completed on the desktop .. and dragged it over to the HD icon. Now he can't find it .. It was 14 gigs .. there was lots of room left on the drive he says .. it seems to have disappeared. The 14 gigs still shows on the drive space wise
He has looked in search, recent items, repaired disk and permissions ... will Disk Warrior help to find this file?

did he just look inside the HD icon to which he dragged the project?
This sounds like a probable case of user error best solved by somebody in person...

Search should find it. Are you sure he's searching correctly? My sister always complains that it won't find anything, but it turns out that she's only searching on a CD or she has an extra search criterion or something.

He just solved the problem ...
He "Repaired the Disk" a number of times and finally was able to find the file ..
Would it be a good idea for him to run Disk Warrior now as a preventive step?
