There is a new version of the CLI and the screensaver client, Version 5.0. This may be old news, but I have not seen it posted here yet and I just installed my first copy of it. it actually asked me if I wanted to install it as a service under XP! VERY COOL! I do not know what the other new features might be yet.

Is anyone else running version 5 of the CLI yet? I am running it on one machine and I am not sure that I like the way it installs as a service. It said that that it would install at idle priority, but it seems to be running at a lot higher priority than that.

Anyone know what else changed?

I didn't see a new version of the client... but one of my machines has been downloading outdated versions of the core and is now sleeping for a whole day before it tries again...

I'm letting the current work unit finish before upgrading. Previous Folding upgrades have wiped current progress and started over from the beginning.

My wife's eMac was doing that too, have not seen that before. There is no new version for the Mac, just everything else, figures....

I ended up uninstalling the service that the V5 client added and adding it back via firedaemon. The one it installed said it had "idle" priority, but it lied! the computer was almost completely unresponsive with it running.

I just fixed that one client that had been downloading outdated cores. I just deleted everything from the folding@home folder (minus my cfg) and restarted my client. I think I lost one whole work unit that was waiting to be transferred, though.
