So I was reading this article about how Peter Jackson is going to make a bunch of money for remaking King Kong and then I get to the last paragraph (emphasis is mine) of the article.
Most big money directors collect only a relatively small advance but take a large share of the box office receipts and spin-offs such as merchandise. King Kong was also remade in 1976 starring Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange. But that version was a big pile of toss.
I don't know why but that struck me as hilarious LOL!

I laughed so hard, I don't know why, I guess it isn't something I would expect in a article like that.

I must have only seen the made for TV version.
