Will 6G SSD work in 3G mid 2007 MBP?

Thank you, I had googled it and found many confusing answers. I was concerned that the 6G wouldn't throttle down, the 3G couldn't keep up or there were jumpers involved.

SATA like ATA has always been backwards compatible. Any issues will be related to the firmware or controller of the SSD in question.
|

Yes, a SATA 6Gb/s drive will work with a SATA 3Gb/s controller. As will a SATA 3Gb/s drive with a SATA 6Gb/s controller.
