I recently read a article about a city on the Northeast, I think in PA somewhere where the street kids were riding horses. For some reason, the state just worked out that although they were poor can sustain these equestrian habits. A picture in my head was of a typical hip-hop dressed black kid was riding on a speeding horse. Very a-typical.

I know I'm not crazy, does anybody else have this link? I may have seen it on Digg but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Please help my peepz!

Odd, I'm NE PA, and I haven't heard this.

My first thought was this is the Amish.

I think you may have seen the future. Were any of the horses pulling buggies made of old SUVs?

there was a "this american life" about this. it airs on showtime (and on NPR).

it was in episode 1 ("escape") of the second season. no video of this segment on the showtime site.
