Back in the windows days, I was able to open multiple-archive zip files that had extensions of .001 .... .999 or however many files there were in the archive.
I can't find a utility to decompress these files for OSX I've tried Stuffit, unix unzip and ZipIt but neither of them works.
Anyone know what will do the trick?

Look for an app named Split&Concat- freeware and versiontracker should have it.
Works well.

Sadly, this didn't work I found the app, and concatenated the files, the file was unrecognizable by the app (Toast).
Used my Windows machine to SMB mount the dir on the Mac that held the files and winrar worked like a charm.
Maybe it's a different format?!
What's that windows numbered archive thing called anyway? It's not zip or rar or ace or anything -- what's it called?

jakbeatz, i had the same problem, fortunately, split and concat worked for me
if your're still having trouble, go back to version tracker, under osx, search for "split", and there a more apps to choose from to try to concate pc-made archives
