Hi guys,
I was going to post this question in the marketplace, but the guidelines say "no price checks", so here I am. My sister's ex-boss is willing to sell her his 15" Titanium Powerbook 400mhz G4 for $475, is this a decent price? I THINK it has 128mb of RAM and a 10 or 15 gb hard drive. Also, I believe it has the combo drive, but I'm not sure of that.
Thanks,
Tom King

Yes, too much.
For not much more you can find refurbished iBooks with a full warranty.
I wouldn't pay more than $325 for that machine.

The Ti's are a little too slow for today's software. For $700, you can have a 1.2GHz iBook with a warranty. For $720, one with a combo drive. Search around, and you might find one used for even less.

I don't disagree on the speed issue, but remember the PB has some advantages that the iBook doesn't. Screen size and resolution is one.
