I know you can turn off data roaming. Is there a way to turn off voice roaming as well? I don't think three is anything in settings, but I thought there might be some way to send one of those *### codes to turn it off.
We are going on a cruise to AK and I know that you can get spotty ATT coverage throughout the inside passage. But I also know that the ship has its own antenna and that you get charged a hefty fee if you get on that antenna. It would be nice to just turn off roaming and let the phone search for an ATT signal and pick up messages, etc when it connects.

I thought you accomplish that by changing from automatic carrier selection to a selecting a specific carrier.
Otherwise there's always Airplane Mode. Although I realize you won't be able to auto-reconnect to the cell network if an AT&T signal pops up that way though.

Is there a place you can do this? I can't find anything under phone or network.
