We have 3 Macs hooked up to a Linksys BEFSR41. The Linksys is connected to a cable modem. How do I allow my brother in Ca to access my son's Call of Duty so they can do multiplayer? How does he get past/into? the router. We have the firewalls on the Macs turned off. They all run 10.3.7. Everything works fine when the router is unhooked.

Thanks for any assistance.

As far as I know you can't share files via network from NY to CA with just a router.

If your router/modem has a firewall you will need to find out which port to forward through the firewall.

Call of duty uses the following ports:

28960 (UDP/TCP)
20500 (UDP)
20510 (UDP)

In your router setup applet, which can be accessed by pointing a web browser at 192.168.1.1, there is a tab page called "forwarding". Forward the above three ports to your son's computer's IP address.
