I'm not associated with the project but I think it's a good example of how apps can benefit by embracing Tiger only technology. From the seed notes:
What's new in version 2.0 ?

- OsiriX REQUIRES MacOS 10.4 or higher
- Database is now managed through CoreData technology(SQLite): faster and more robust. OsiriX can manage up to 1 million of images.
- Albums and smart albums have been updated to CoreData: faster, smarter and safer
- OsiriX supports "Key Images"
- Distance measurement in 3D VR/MIP
- Realtime Bonjour sharing of database and images: use OsiriX as a PACS server.
- Copy studies to/from Bonjour database
- Show/Hide database columns: see Preferences
- Database "Auto-Cleaning" option: see Preferences
- New ROIs support in 2D-MPR
- New Volume computation from ROIs
- Time Interval filter for database
- Send only Key Images or Secondary Captures
- Preview matrix of studies of same patient
- "3D fly thru" for 3D renderings (VR, MIP and SR)
- Endoscopy module for VR and MIP
- Save & Restore a 'sculpted' object with 3D scissors
- Rotate/Resize ROIs: select a ROI and press ALT+Apple key to rotate it.
- "Loop Back and Forth" option for 2D viewer
- Crash reports are directly sent to Antoine Rosset (instead of Apple Computer...)
- Many many bugs have been corrected
The most noticable change is the use of Core Data for database management. I really think this app, and others like it, will benefit from moving to Tiger only.

You forget to include a link for us lazies

From Versiontracker:

Although I have no uses for this app, I still have appreciation for decent softwares like OsiriX. Props to developers behind this.

Yes, this app is very cool. I actually use it quite often (I'm a radiologist, and I use it at home to organize any teaching files I keep in DICOM format).
Version 2.0 looks very, very nice so far (and seems faster, too).

I used to use Osirix during my BSc project - wonderful program and a great boon to all medics with any interest in radiology!
