I can't get either the mod_python 2.7.11 or 3.1.4 to build on a machine running Server 10.4.2. 2.7.11 linked against the standard Apache 1.3 install fails because of a build error (probably doesn't like gcc 4) and 3.1.4 linked against the /opt Apache 2 install fails because of a linking error (/usr/bin/ld: flag: -undefined dynamic_lookup can't be used with MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET environment variable set to: 10.1). I tried setting my MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET variable to 10.4 in my .profile file but that doesn't seem to have any affect.

Anyone successfully built mod_python using the default installs of Apache and python?
