I'm looking at a powermac G4 right now, with the 1.25ghz..

Is it possible in the future to add a second 1.25 chip if I just bought the single 1.25 now?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can upgrade these G4s using PowerLogix, etc CPU upgrades later. I think there are Dual processor cards out there right now. Check out this site:

Yes you will be able to upgrade (powerlogix has such dual upgrades): that means you'll replace the daughtercard which holds your G4 with another one which has 2. You can't 'add' per se. The old G4 will be lost (you might be able to sell it).

Yep... no nice way to just slap on a 2nd G4 module; you'd have to replace the daughtercard.

Might have to do this to my QS

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.
