Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a windows media file to an mp3 or Quicktime file so I can play it in iTunes?
Its really annoying having all my songs in iTunes then having to switch to Windows Media Player to play one song...

Are there any 3rd party products that can do this?

I also noticed that iTunes 3 has an itunes icon for .wma files but is unable to play them??

I am not aware of any Mac software that can transcode WMA to MP3. But I did once use a Windows shareware app--can't remember the name. I recommend you go to www.versiontracker.com and search the Windows section. It shouldn't be too hard to find one.

You might want to try a Windows program called VirtualDub

500+ WMA? Ouch. I converted two .ra files a while back, that's all I've got. These crap formats count hard against the file in my opinion, when I see a WM9 or .ram video it almost always just gets deleted.

Good for you for converting 'em, I've had a copy of EasyWMA on my drive just in case.

Yup... 510 .wma to be exact! Looonnnnggg time windows user...good riddens! Well, I let it run overnight and thru the day... it was finished when I got home from work. 100% SUCCESSFUL! One thing I notice is the .wma file is still there, so I had to go back and delete them. Happy happy customer
