I am having issues resetting/reloading my iPod. It keeps telling me to goto apple.com/support/ipod with a ! folder. I can get it into disk mode by holding down the menu+select buttons, then play+select buttons.

ive tried this both on my mac and pc...any help??! thanks in advance

Have you tried restoring (a.k.a. erasing) your iPod using the iPod updater?

thanks for replying

ive downloaded both the pc and mac version of the updater (pc on pc, mac on mac). from my mac, i can "see" it in itunes, and i have dragged a few songs to it. it looks like it copies over (disk size shown). i eject the ipod, and it is froze in the "ok to disconnect" screen.

not much better when attempting to use it on my pc...

well, i think i got it. after trying multiple times, i got my ipod responding again. fwiw, the ipod is very tedious...the update step has to be done in a certain order, and a reboot is necessary on a windows pc. good luck to anyone else having this problem...
