The train appears to be ridiculously expensive, considering I'll be flying from Munich to Dublin for 15€ several days later. Sadly Aer Lingus won't get me there and neither will EasyJet, RyanAir, or Aeroflot (which looks really weird in English... Аэрофлот... much better ) which exhausts my knowledge of cheap European airlines. If anyone has any recommendations for cheap places to stay around Northern Italy, that would also be welcome.

Basically I'm going to be spending two weeks in Italy and Munich with my best man before my wedding. We're meeting up in Rome because he had a big credit on Alitalia that he needed to use, and then we'll be spending a few days in Munich because he has a friend there who can give/get us a free place to stay. On either end I'll be spending a day or two in Dublin. That's pretty much the extent of our plan so far. We're thinking Venice might be nice to see as neither of us has been there yet. I'm also thinking some smaller cities/towns might be fun so we can avoid the tourist crowd and just hang out and drink. Ideally this will cost me little enough money that I'll still be able to buy my wife-to-be a wedding band...

I doubt that, considering how much $$ you'd end up spending on food during that monumental hike.

So does this mean you'd actually entertain spending so much money on your two-week bachelor party that you'd have to skip buying a wedding ring for your fiance? I hope SHE doesn't find out about it.

There's also AirBerlin and Germanwings, both of which fly out of Milan.

Actually, this is the link in the correct direction: Flug Venedig - München : Billigflug vergleichen und buchen

And the cheapest one-way flight is 390 Euro. BUT: the cheapest return ticket is 90 Euros, so...
