...well...

I intentionally left out the "Bottom" of the "pretty" scenario for

I've always questioned people's confidence in their setups being safe when they have network hubs, a blob of wires, and all sorts of other crap on the floor.

If my surge protector is so much as leaning sideways on the AC adapter plugs I get worried because of the extra strain.. yet there I see a croocked adapter hanging there (leaving the leads exposed) and a bunch of networking things everywhere...

Dude you must really trust your wires lol.

I like my setup to be relatively neat whether it took me a whole 10 minutes to set up or I spent 2 hours making sure it was perfect.

You're probably right!
Anyway - I've had my wires (and a lot worse) like that for many many years, over 20 years I belive.

Nothing bad ever came out of that exept from looking horrible, luckily I just keep things clean and hardly look under the table where the wire's are so it doesn't matter. I like to keep the rest of the areas clean, such as the floor & tables etc...but the reason the wire's are all messed up is because I change hardware so much.

I keep changing hardware ALL the time... I did "bundt/wrap" it up once, but I ended up Cutting-off the wrappers because I constantly had to get some cables over somewhere else, or remove/add new hardware. So much for bundling things up neathly.

I really like it, no problems so far. The hardest part (for me) of putting your mobo and cpu in the box has been done, so that was cool. Pop in your drives, ram, and vid card then you're off.

I went trough it today and really CLEANED up the wire-mess:

remember the whole mess of powersupplies/routers/wires etc
earlier in this thread...well...they're still there...

But not on the floor anymore.

I bundled the whole thing onto the metal-feet of the glass-
table, took me 3-4 hours to do so, a LOT of cables and
a LOT of organization. If you look at the first image...
you'll realize it's pretty well hidden now, and noone of
the powersupplies touches the floor. I've even bundled
some of the flat-powersupplies to the metal so they use
the metal as extra cooling

Bonus!

But daayum dude nice job.. I have to wonder if you went a little off the deep end there (I just hope you don't like moving things that much).. because the last time I went over the edge like that, that's exactly what happened :smirks:

I still like to be ultra neat though so what I do is put wire ties down on all the cables to keep them going nice and neatly but I don't make it too hard == having to untie 6 to get off a power adaptor.

Looks awesome though.. I don't think my desk has ever looked that immaculate.

well i finally got around to uploading the picture to my server, here it is

the only change is i got rid of the 20" because i didnt use my older computers.
