That irritates me too. How does the Blackbook look like a Dell when Apple is the inventor of the "Classy black notebook" with the old powerbooks? If anything then the Blackbook looks more like a Lombard.
I really hate that Apple adopted white as their signature color. Sure, it makes sense in that it distinguishes itself from the rest of the market but just looking at that Black MacBook makes me want Apple to go back to being "normal". I'm holding out on going back to mac until they offer black at a more reasonable price.

I think the blackbook would have been better if the exterior was glossy like the white version. The all matte doesn't match anything else they produce.

Phone is super SICK, beats out the motorola q and treo's bar none. Sync's with osx beautifully using isync. Do search on nokia e61 with mac or isync. Should be a bunch of topics regarding it. Enjoy.

my current setup with my new 120gb Seagate external HD.
I love my Seagate external HD. It comes with a Y splitted usb cord, 1 usb plug for data + power and the other for just power. I only have to use one usb plug on my MacBook. Transfer speeds probably aren't as good as firewire, but I was already sold on brand name and portability.
Now I'm just waiting on my bluetooth keyboard and the extra gig of RAM and i'll be set.

I actually own a ppc-6700 and have not sync it to os x. There are programs out there that do work I just cant justify the price. So I just sync the phone to my desktop( Pc )

well i got it, and i love it, i heard there is free software out there to sync it, and i also was told isync will sync SOME things, havnt tried it yet, just got back from the palisades mall where the apple store is, picked up a keyboard and few other things, i was going to get two 30" ACD's, but then i thought do i really need that? answer was no, id rather use the money on something else more practical, went to best buy and got a killer deal on this 21" HD LCD from gateway, it has DVI, analog VGA, s-video, composite inputs, so i can hook two computers up to it, my xbox 360 and my tv too, pretty sweet, and coolest thing of all is it rotates, something the ACD cant...heres my set up

I just got my new desk this week and since I have both a Mac Mini and a PowerBook I'll be posting in both picture threads!
Just so you know, the desk that I have is an O'Sullivan model that can be bought at OfficeMax. Its $150.
If the mods think this pic is too big then by all means remove it and just leave this much smaller thumbnail in its place. Thanks.

Thanks but its actually a Powerbook not an iBook. The lighting must make it hard to see properly.

DESK!
I think that is the correct desk. Though I wouldnt buy it again because the laminate has no water repellent characteristics. Thus the desk absorbs even the slightest spill and god forbid you forget to use a coaster, it swells like a brand new sponge.

I am obsessed with watching movies in my bedroom - but my Media Center pc is downstairs so this was the quick and dirty solution. I have a broke powerbook I intend to actually use for this function but need to figure out why it's SO SLOW... It might not be slow, just four years later and a Macbook Pro and Mac Pro may have spoiled me!
Anyways... Picture of my real mac and my other computers can be found at:

BTW, that's a MBP, not a PowerBook.
Honestly the only difference with thet MB and the MBP and this point is the screen size and graphics.... and honestly I love my MacBook's screen size... it's a perfect laptop for your lap (I know, Apple calls it a notebook, whatever) and the screen isn't bad once you get used to the size... and if you don't need a ton of graphics for games or heavy photoshop or aperture stuff, the MB is perfect. I've had mine for about 6 days and I'm loving it to peices. Get the BlackBook and enjoy. I sure am.
