Hello all,
A friend of mine's iBook is struggling with some 2000 photos in iPhoto v4. I figured the main problem to be the 256 MB Ram, however since she is "broke" we hope to solve the problem with a newer version of iPhoto... Which one would you suggest? I heard v6 made a large jump in "snappiness"?
--> iBook G4 900 MHz 256 MB X.4.10
Regards
PB.

Your friend needs more RAM. No matter which version of iPhoto she's running.
Which isn't to say a newer version won't handle thumbnails better.

Yeah, but I can't copy a RAM module the way I can copy my iPhoto disc. :-/
I guess we'll try iPhoto v6 and see what's the result...

iPhoto is only at version 3, and you need Leopard to run it.
So either way, more RAM.
