This song has been played so many bloody times over the years in Canada. I think the cultural gatekeepers here are very proud of this song and the "international" success it's had.
I friggin' hate it. If I could go back in time in order to kill Tom Cochrane (or at least de-bark him) to prevent him from writing this song, I would.
