I posted this same question in the ibook forum (but about the ibook, not the powerbook, duh), and I figured I oughta also see what powerbook users are experiencing. So how's garageband working out for you 12" powerbook users? Thanks for the info,

I don't put GarageBand through its paces, by any means, but my 12 inch has handled it just fine. Adding loops, software instruments and playback has been without wait. I haven't put something together with over 6 tracks, so take what I say with that in mind.

I have just played with it and it ran fine .. although the processor was at 100% while I was playing..

Just make sure if you're running on battery that you switch Energy Saver to 'Maximum Performance'.
