Taking the leap this week and not waiting for the next iphone. Can anyone offer reasons to get the 32gb? I'm thinking 16gb is plenty, but curious why others go for 32.

My experience: you can never have enough space.
Music, videos, apps, documents. You'll use it if you have it.

I always maxed out RAM on my iPhones and never regretted it.
I bought the lowest RAM iPad and often find myself needing more space.

I had a 32gb 3GS and just filled it up with every little piece of whatever...just had alot of junk on it. My iPhone 4 is a 16gb model and I'm perfectly happy with it.

It definitely depends on your storage needs and usage. 16 GB has been very adequate for me. I have a little less than half of it free.

If you have a big music, photo or video collection you want with you at all times, in addition to a healthy app selection, go for a 32. If you don't need quite as much on your phone then 16 should be plenty.

In contrast, I strongly suggest going with higher capacity iPads. I filled my 32 GB iPad far more quickly than I've filled my iPhone.

I say: wait for the next iPhone. It will be future-proof, have formidable reception, and you'll pay less or the same you are paying for that ole' i4.

The big difference is going to be how long it takes before you have to start actively managing your space.

I got my 32 at launch, and it has yet to need any management. If I had a 16, I'd already be past the point of needing to pick and choose what's on it.

I think that unlimited 3G plans help a lot, since you can cloud your way into enough music and movies without needing more than 16GB.
