I'm pretty sure we're on upgrade number forty-six or something like that. Why are there so many? Can't Apple get it right the eighth time?

Keyboard upgrades? Do you mean defective replacements?

Or do you mean firmware upgrades?

I'm not really sure.

Depending on which Al KB you have (USB or BT) their have been maximum two updates. Not a whole lot considering it's a new piece of hardware with its own firmware and drivers (although the latter are not required if you don't want to use the media keys).

So I guess the OP is talking about replacements. I haven't had or heard of any though. Link?

I've had the Al keyboard since the day it came out and have only had one software update (after the initial update to make it work correctly).

I've also only had one firmware update for my keyboard. It's always worked flawlessly. I love it.

You know, the upgrades may help Keyboard decide which app to play/pause, say, if OS X was running Quicktime, iTunes, DVD Player, or any other app that can read keyboard instructions.

The initial update was for the different layout of the Expose, Dashboard and media keys compared to the previous keyboards, then the second update was to fix the first update because it didn't work properly!

It'll be much easier if you just comply.
