Since I upgraded to OS9.2, my iMac has been very slow. Itunes has problems with the visuals not being smooth, I have latency on my audio input and everything seems slow.

I removed a file called Apple Security Startup from the startup folder on my system disk which was launching a copy of Apple File Security which was in the system folder on startup. It seems to have helped. Was this a bad idea? Anyone know what this app does?

My system: iMac DV400, 512MB RAM
