I made this pdf from InDesign CS3 and on the iPhone and iPod Touch text in some places appears all garbled. Anyone know why and how to fix it?

Can't offer much help but we had the same issue with some pdf documents we'd created in CS1 and CS3. We think it was either the type face or the kerning/tracking used. We never got to the bottom of it - the documents looked fine on other computers, just seemed to be the iPhone that had trouble.
Look forward to hearing a reason/solution.

It was the typeface. I was using Helvetica Neue (T1). When I swapped it out to a different family completely it worked fine.

Thanks for that info... it's going to be a pain if we now have to check if a pdf's OK on the iPhone and Touch, and change fonts to those that are compatible.
Maybe Apple should have a list of fonts that don't work.

Or just fix PDF support. Isn't the point of the PDF that you shouldn't have to worry what client is viewing it as long as a compatible reader application is installed? Get with it, Apple.
