Those scheming Lounge Mods removed a 26-post derail from the thread. Something to do with (not using) the spoiler tag, related argument, and multiple Reports to the staff. After some PM exchanges asking for things to be toned down.

I tell you, we need to keep an eye on those guys. Next thing you know, they'll be running for Congress.

Those of us who mod the Lounge would NEVER run for Congress. We all would prefer to manage things from higher up. We're forming PACs as we speak...

Sadly, sometimes comedic effects aren't sufficiently positive to retain. It's a case of going from "that's really funny" to "I can't help but laugh at that, but I feel like I'm laughing at the Special Ed kids..." In an effort to decrease the potential for discomfort in such situations, the "funny sad" stuff often has to go.

You might want to wait until Obama leaves office, as I suspect any new PACs will be "deeply" investigated by the CIA, DIA, NSA, FBI, IRS, etc., etc. (Man, sounds like alphabet soup!).
