Getting sidebar icons back

The latest version of the finder looks like it changes the sidebar to a whole bunch of drab icons, totally ignoring any custom icons that those items/folders might have. Any way to bring them back? It's a pain to have to read through the list of items instead of just finding what you need by sight.
