I've heard at least 3 ways to do this - what's the most foolproof?

I thought the most foolproof would be to get the new drive to mount as /Users, but I've heard that this may cause problems that doing symlinks and NetInfo changes don't.

So - for those who HAVE done it - what are the best ways to do this?

How and why to move your home directory to a different partition

Move the Users folder to a new partition

Relocating the 'Users' directory

I trust Mike Bombich (author of Carbon Copy Cloner). I'm more skeptical of the conflicting reader reports and techniques on Mac OS X Hints.
