Hey everyone
I recenently purchased a Gateway 24" Widescreen monitor which I love, and I am about to purchase a Sony Home Theater Receiver that features 3 HDMI ports. (2 In/1 Out).

Now my question.

Will I be able to hook up my MacBook to the Receiver with the using the Mini DVI to DVI, then using a DVI to an HDMI cable that plugs into Receiver in the In, and then have a HDMI to DVI connector that plugs from the REceiver to the back of the monior?

I have no idea if the signal will travel through all the DVI to HDMI stuff then back to DVI.

Supposedly HDMI is the same spec as DVI except the HDMI has audio built in.

I'm hoping that I will be able to plug my computer, tv, and ps3 all into the back of this going from the receiver to the monitor.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Everyone.
