So, I pressed the wrong button in Safari and removed all my saved passwords, instead of just the one preference. "No problem," I figured, since I use .Mac to sync my keychain. So I went to .Mac prefs and told it to Reset Sync Data, just Keychain, from .Mac to this computer. But when I re-opened Safari, none of my password auto-fills reappeared. And when I open Keychain Access.app, none of the web form passwords are in there anymore.

This is all on my iMac. Most of the important passwords seem to still be on my PowerBook, but I can't figure out any way to get info from one keychain file into the other (that is, Keychain Access has no option to just open a keychain from a file, regardless of whether you have the keychain password.)

Anyone have any idea what I can do to get these passwords back, or do I have to view all of them on the PowerBook and re-copy them by hand?

Thanks.
Y.

Copy the .keychain file(s) from ~/Library/Keychains on the Power Book to the same location on the iMac. Rename them if you don't want to overwrite any with the same name on the iMac. Open Keychain Access. Go to Edit->Keychain List and add the file(s) you just copied. I think that should do it. If you want to use one of the ones you just added as the default, select it in the top left listing of keychains in the main window and choose File->Make Keychain "bleh" Default.
