I think I want to get a backpack-style soft case for one or both of my saxophones, so as to carry them on my bike. I was gonna just grab the cheapest thing I saw on eBay but realized I'd like to find out a bit more about different brands' reputations. Saving $50 on a case won't mean a thing if the case is too uncomfortable or if shoddy build quality leads to a broken sax.

I thought Harmony Central might be useful, but there doesn't seem to be much wind discussion there. Anyone know where people talk about soft cases for saxes?

Thanks.
Y.

Dude, there's no point in a break from the lounge if you're still surfing it whilst logged out. Get some work done!

I checked them out; they do have a good selection of cases, and they seem to beat most eBay sellers on price for comparable models.

They don't have many reviews, though, which is what I'm asking about. If I don't figure anything out soon, I'll probably just get a Gig backpack from wwbw.com. They look nicely designed to center the horn on one's back, and the fact that that brand name has become kind of a generic for soft cases seems like a good sign (unless, of course, they chose the generic term "gig bag" for their brand name).

Anyway, tell brassplayersrock I said thanks.
