Safari 4 used to do this beautifully, but in 5 they took it out (why?!). I can't go back to 4 in 10.6.

I tab into a form that has only one element (a "select"). I hit one key to bring it to the right choice. I hit enter, and the form submits. That's all I want. The last step is the one Safari 5 stopped doing. I tried Firefox, but it's even worse (I can't even get inside the "select" with the keyboard).

I hope I've used the right words; it's been a while since I looked at any html. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do you mean pop-up lists? How about Chrome?

Chrome does submit the form. But in Chrome I have to tab through every single link on the page, not just form elements, and hitting "tab" 10,000 times defeats the purpose of not moving my hand to the mouse... Is there a way to turn that off? I don't see it in the options.

It was turned off in Safari 5 because of the non-power users submitting forms by mistake.

So maybe there's a secret setting to turn it back on? Anyone know?

Edit: nevermind. I pressed F7 somewhere along the way, without knowing it was a g-damn booby trap.
