Major sites the follow Apple announcements were all handling the traffic fine (MacRumors, Engadget). I think that the Apple streamed keynote went out once Apple went truly mainstream. When we, the hardcore faithful carried Apple on our backs (if you will), having a stream available for us to get every tidbit of information was important. Now, with every major media outlet covering Apple, there's little reason to cater to narrowly to the Apple fanatics with a stream..

I know it's been said before, but I'll just go ahead and say it again...

The rumor sites really kill the fun of these events. Was anything a surprise today?

Yep: Being able to publish photo scrapbooks to iCloud from iPhoto on iPad.

I'm not sure I see the appeal of trying to manage my iPhoto library from my iPad.

Maybe different people use the program differently, but for me, it's a way to organize 10,000+ photos that take up like 30 gigs in space.

Even if I could fit all that on my iPad, the thought of having that be my main photo organization tool and the final destination for my precious pictures seems nuts to me. How do you back it up? You would still have to keep an identical library on a traditional PC.

Maybe it's more of an editing tool on the iPad, I don't know... but that's not what I (and most people) do with iPhoto. Or at least, I don't think it is.

Speaking of the Apple store being down... the Apple store is down.

Come on Apple, what the heck? Don't you want my money?

You can bash through it now, but it's not a pleasant experience. Took me about 30 minutes.

Likely related to the iPad 3 announcement and hype, which was a disappointment, at least to me.

The Apple Store seems to be working fine now.
I am seeking a Power Mac 7100/80. If you have one, please let me know!

Apple rumors, especially this close to an event, make front page news with most tech sites. If you're even moderately in the loop they can't be avoided.

I wonder, how many additional megawatts have been burned in server farms since the end of the iPad event a few hours ago...

I bought a black 16 gig for me and a white 16 gig for my mom (technically my parents but I'm 90% sure my mom will steal it and it'll be with her all the time which is fine, my Dad basically did that with the Apple TV I bought them.)

So, wow I just dropped a grand on Apple today hahaha!

Spent $0 today, and went to the Toronto FC game instead... and watched David Beckham get pissed off because idiot fans were throwing streamers and even a beer can at him.
