Ok, so I was playing around with the speech recognition software in OSX and I said 'Quit this application' and the speech recognition software quit. Now when I go into the system preferences, the system says the voice recognition is already on and when i click on the calibrate button, system preferences freezes and I have to force quit.

Is there anyway I can correct this?

turn it off in system prefs, then back on. I've had lots of issues (Apple knows) with speech recognition just not working after a while on Intel computers. It's fine in leopard.
