Gossamer is such a beautiful word, though; one that actually has a beautiful meaning to go along with it. Laminar is way geekier than Gossamer.

Laminar makes me think of fluid flow or air flow in an engineering capacity. I used to design ventilation systems and air scrubbers for chrome plating companies and we always had to make sure we had laminar flow throughout the systems.

Sweet. I'm actually finishing up my fluid flow class right now, my final test is tomorrow at 4, so it's been on my mind lately.
