only mods/admins have special stars. some normal members have a special status title, however.

they're given by the admins. they are usually earned thru special contribution to a specific forum (excluding the lounges).

Gorickey,
Haven't you seen philzilla's 'Occasionally useful' and swiz's 'GUI Punk'? Or is that why you asked the question?
Out of interest - does Zimphires 'clinically insane' and multicoloured stars come from getting over 10,000 posts?

Just who are Britain? What do they? Who is them? And why?

Yeah, I guess now that you mention it I have noticed Swizs/Phils custom status; however, I was actually asking because I really want little baseballs instead of stars for me, but no big deal...
And yes, I believe Zimphire/Cipher have those because you must be truly clinically insane to amass that many posts....

Yeah, Clinically Insane is just another rank. We really designed it specially for Cipher, but anyone with 10K posts automatically gets Clinically Insane status.
