My neighbor just got home from picking up his brand-new 2004 Porsche Cayenne S SUV this evening and wouldn't you know it...on his way back, the city had just painted all new walk-ways/stripes on some city intersections and obviously didn't let the paint dry long enough before taking away the cones because his $55,000+ Porsche now has streaks of white and yellow paint on the underside of the driver door and among 2 of the 4 tire areas...

I would feel sorry for him; however, he still has a damn Porsche and can probably work 3 hours tomorrow and have enough to pay for the touch-up needed to fix the thing.

Coming from someone who rides in a 20K crap box, you have to chuckle a little... Ugh, at least it's just paint. It's rather easy to clean up with gasoline, but knowing Porsche, you need special paint remover that costs $89 a 3 oz. bottle.

Perhaps the title "Damn the luck... or the city... why?" would have been more appropriate.
