Thirded. We don't want animation signatures on this board, so why do we want animation ads (and don't say for $$$, their are plenty of non-animated ads out there to have)...

I've forgotten the content of the ad, but it was on the main macnn.com page this afternoon (around 3pm central) and was a flash ad with lots of flashing and lights. To say it makes it hard to look at would be an understatement.

The problem is that the ad server (not a server of ours) allows ads to be removed from circulation, but within short order, the same ad appears with a new filename, so we need to remove it *again*.
The other problem is Flash ads -- it's impossible for us to read out the URL of the file because of the JavaScript used to load it.
grrr!

That stinks, but I just installed PithHelmet for Safari and now I don't see any ads, ever.
No popups, no ads. Ahhh.....

I'm running AdGate and the Flash ads are very annoying. If I turn on .swf blocking it prevents me from seeing legit sites with Flash content.

I for one am sick of Tina who wants to teach me to make my computer go faster. I got it five times in the last 2 minutes, and the audio content is completely unacceptable. Surely you can ban all ads with sound?

Make that two more times in 10 seconds. "Hi. My name is Tina. In the next 30 seconds I will show you how to dramatically increase the speed of your computer." The product is MemTurbo.

Now I am getting that friggin' ad on EVERY PAGE!!!

see the other thread for resolution. I never noticed tina because I just filter this stuff. I let some through, however.
