Forget the stimulus package.

Let the system collapse.

Let's all gird our loins and be prepared to help out our neighbors. Let's start over.

You're not really getting with the spirit of my "let's be prepared to help our neighbors out" idea.

Absolutely.

Although, my profligate, living-beyond-their-means neighbors will not be getting any help from me. I want them to suffer in the hopes that the experience will teach them a lesson about the negative effects of living beyond one's means.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Heh, seems your dream of neighborly love is **** out of luck, Helmling.

BTW, I'll kill any of you that come near my territory after the collapse. Oh, and subjugate your women and children. OLD SKOOL RULES, BABY!

Your entire premise is flawed.

If you want further economic downturn, you should be in favor of the so called 'stimulus' as it currently exists, which wouldn't do a damn thing to stimulate anything, just the opposite. The system collapsing or not sure as hell doesn't hinge on the freakin' government tossing even more of our money down a rathole.

I agree with the starting over part though. Nothing stops any of us from doing that but ourselves.

Yeah, but I'm kind of afraid of this boondoggle dragging down the country with it, not just the economy.

I think that the predictions of Obama turning us into cat food may actually be true.

I'd rather the bailout money was used to buy up peoples' retirement plans instead, then let the companies go out of business.

I'll bet you don't own any banks and not even one major political party.

You don't count. Sorry. Now get back to work.
