I haven't found much on Craigslist, and am not sure where would be a good place to buy online.
Basically, I am looking for something to play my 360. I currently have a 27" Sony CRT, and words can be a bit fuzzy due to the resolution.
I am hoping for something around the 32" range with HDMI, and am looking to spend around $300.
Any suggestions?

I saw that as I was walking out the door for work. It was sold out by the time I got to work.

Newegg has a few refurb 32" LCD TVs for under $300. They also have name brand and new 32" LCD TVs for under $400.
All are 768p TVs (but support both 720p and 1080p input of course).

I didn't see anything in the refurb section that I liked. They do have this one for sale, and the reviews are pretty good.

I ended up getting a 32" Sharp Aquos from Costco. By going the Costco route, I can upgrade it within three months if I choose to.

In that price range, the Aquos is a fine set. You done good.
Is it the 32D44U?

LC-C3237U is what is on the side of the box. It ended up coming out to $460 all together, which is a little bit more than I wanted to spend, but not out of my budget for a tv. I am currently playing Mass Effect using component cables and it is pretty amazing the difference in picture. I have a HDMI cable on its way from Monoprice.com. Even though the tv is only 720, I am hoping to work my way up to 1080 in the next few months.
However, for now I am quite satisfied.

Just picked up a 32" 1080p for the bedroom from Costco for ~$450 a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful set, overall. Only 60Hz, but you'd never know it just by looking at the picture. It's the LG 32LF11, see here for spec PDF.

Why?
One thing to consider is text size and seating distance. If you sit right up close, it's easy to read text on a small 1080p screen. However, at longer seating distances, 720p might be better for text readability, depending on how the game is coded.
