I read about a lot of people having harddrives wiped out after installing iTunes 2.0. I have a different problem. When I'm in the installer in the last step (the actual installation) I get an error saying:
"There were errors installing the software" and then "Please try installing again.". I have tried multiple times with the the same result.
I trashed iTunes 1.1.1 before installing and I have 10.1. I can't see what the problem would be. Anyone experienced the same problem?

I have the exact same problem. But from what's been going on I think maybe we were lucky it didn't install. I'm in no mood to wipe my HD.

I'm going to wait till Monday and see if Apple responds to all that's been going on. It's suspicous enough to not even TRY to install again.

Only problem is that I deleted ver 1.1. of iTunes like it said. No music for me until a fix comes along.
