I've made some slight interface changes to Duality for 4.02. Here is a screenshot:

4.02 will also run as a prefpane. Here is a screenshot. It is essentially the prefpane version of the Duality beta re-written over GT (the prefpane and the app will share the same code):

Here is the complete list of changes in 4.02:

? Adds prefpane version (for pro users)
? Fixes issues with Localized.rsrc files and safe mode
? Fixes misc registration issues
? Uses ThemeKit 1.1 (fixes incompatiblities with certain older .themes)
? Optimized ThemeStep, no longer runs if it is not needed. This can cause a 4x speed increase is some cases.
? Slight interface tweeks
? Progress bar added to the loading screen
? Preview pictures now scale if needed

There needs to be a "Duality - Updates" thread, or something similar to it. The amount of new threads created just when 1 little check box is moved in Duality is getting rediculous. I'm tired of seeing them.

Wow... system prefs looks very similar to what I mocked up...

EDIT: I take that back, they are both very different. Looks cool, keep it up.

Duality was a pref pane last year. It looked just like this one (cept I moved the list to the left side).

fwiw, i liked it when duality was taken out of sysprefs. I like it as a separate app. Good thing i'm not a pro user i guess.

I'm considering having the registration window pop up only once per login.

Pro users can still use Duality as a seperate app.

is there some way of telling it exactly which elements you want to install? ie: just the extras.rsrc and nothing else, does it remember those settting?

I also prefer it as a stand alone app rather than a pref pane.

It would also be nice if you could organize the theme list someway, like have all the variants as one entry rather than smoothstripes a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, ... taking up all that space.

It is under "Advanced" in both the app and the pref pane.
