It's gotta be good - this isn't just any child, it's a trophy child. You're so very special, so an average "Dave" or "Amy" definitely won't do. Some possibilities to get you thinking:

Pilot Inspektor (Jason Lee)
Banjo (Rachel Griffiths)
Moxie CrimeFighter (Penn Jillette)
Roman (Keitel, Blanchett, & Messing)
Brooklyn (Beckham)
Audio Science (Shannyn Sossamon)
Makena'lei (Helen Hunt)
Apple and Moses (Paltrow)
Moon Unit and Dweezil (Zappa)

Moon Unit hasn't been used much, other than Zappa.

Seriously......

I'd give me kids a good Irish name. Forget naming them something weird. Seamus or Sean if a boy for sure. No weird names.

I kind of like the name Apple, though. (And no, I don't like it simply because it's the name of my favorite company - if that's what you were (and I know you were) thinking.)

Unfortunately, it wouldn't work with my last name.

Ha!

My wife's name is Amy, and mine, obviously, is Dave. And we're not average at all.

P.S. David and Amy both mean the same thing. Beloved.

Owing to a residual fondness for African American inspired iconography, for a son it would be "Iceberg Slim."

And in a nod to the 1960's & 1970's Pop music culture, for a daughter it would be, "Beach."

When calling my infant son, I'd say: "Ice-Ice-baby..."

I'd call my daughter: "Beach baby, Beach baby..."

Sebastian Bach, formerly of the rock group Skid Row, named his kids Paris and London. When asked why he did this, he said it was so he could come downstairs every morning and feel like he was on a permanent World tour, shouting "Hello Paris, Hello London" like he would when on-stage.

I'm sorry, when you said "The Greatest of All-Time.®", I thought you were talking about baseball players.

If you're talking about 'NN personalities, of course, none are greater than gorickey.

Naming your kid George Herman, Babe, Ted, Stan, Willie, Joe, Reggie, Lou, Mickey, are all acceptable.

"Mookie" is only acceptable if you are a Mets fan and have a warped idea of what a great player is. But any decent Mets fan would name their kid Bill Buckner.

I know some people with some very different names.

Aurora Borealis Freestone Concannon.
Summer Eva
Daiquiri Chambers
Ira Toy, IV
John Kill (officer in the Army)
Crystal Dick

Yes, those are the real names of real people I know. I couldn't make them up if I tried.

You guys also forgot Bruce and Demi's kids: Scout and Rumor.

The story is set in the country. It's the first day of school and the kids introduce themselves to the teacher.

- Now, you boy, what is your name?
- Wagon Wheel.
- What?
- Wagon Wheel is my name ma'am.
Listen little boy, I asked you a question: what is your name?
- I told you! My name is Wagon Wheel! Wagon Wheel Smith!
- How could you be given such a name?
- That's because my parents, when I was born, were not able to find me a name, so mom ask dad to get outside and the first thing he'd see, he'd give us that name. So my name is Wagon Wheel because that's what dad saw!
- OK! I am done with you! Get out!

So the boy looks at his sister and said:
- Come Chicken ****. She won't believe you either.
You live more in 5 minutes on a bike like this, going flat-out, than some people in their lifetime

- Burt

"Summer" and "Winter" because my last name sounds sort of like "Solstice".
