Let's just say that there are some reasons for using KeepVid that I won't mention...

and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm on 10.9, and KeepVid was generally working fine for me yesterday. Today it doesn't work. I get a message that says "Java is not installed or has been disabled. Get Java here: KeepVid / Java and enable it in your browsers plugins if necessary."

But The info at the bottom says that I have Java turned on: "Java: On Show Log: Off"

I have Java and Javascript turned on in Safari. I didn't change anything.

It's seriously like a hit or miss service depending on what day I use it. I'm tired of KeepVid not properly working for just random reasons and trying every magic combination I can think of with Java to get it to just work. And this has been going on for half a year.

How do I make KeepVid work?

Alright KeepVid is working again, but I still can't download 1080p videos. I just get a progress bar flashes and then nothing happens. Nothing downloads. Their 720p links work fine.

What's going on with KeepVid?

Now I can't download anything. Safari progress bar just flashes and then nothing happens when I click on any of the mp4 download links.

KeepVid isn't working at all. it tells me that I do not have Java installed.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Update Java to the latest version.

Older versions pose a security risk and are disabled by Apple software updates.

I am on the latest version. KeepVid apparently wants me to download an earlier version, which is Windows only.

Well, I guess it's official. Keepvid is broken. Thread successful.

What does their support say?

Nada.

Anyone know of a decent alternative to KeepVid?
