hello all,
I would like to know how to view the full size of an invisible folder by using the terminal (10.3.8)
here's the case:
I'm working with a program that stores an invisible temporary folder when it is processing, and I would like to know its size while it is processing...
I've tried:
cd to the container folder
ls -lah (shows the invisible items, in this case .tempFolder)
the h transforms it into human readable, but I just get the folder size and not the full size of its contents, just like when you do a get info on a folder in the finder...
If the folder contents weren't being changed by the app, I could change its name, removing the dot...
I could also use cocktail to show the invisible items and do a get info in the finder...
but I would like to do it by using the terminal without any other programs...
anyone knows?
