Tiger Preview drawer: how do I turn off thumbnail display?

Under Panther, I could have Preview's drawer display pages as thumbnails or just as page numbers. In the Tiger version of Preview, I can only display pages as thumbnails. Did they remove this option or is my Preview messed up? I hate viewing PDF pages as thumbnails.

From Preview Help:
Some PDF files contain a table of contents, which lets you quickly jump to sections within a document.

It would appear that this is dependent on how the pdf was created.

It works the same way in Panther... If there is no table of contents in the pdf, you can only view thumbnails.
