and one is for the volkswagen beetle.
I guess that’s why I’d never heard of it until now. I also didn’t realize there were Mormon comedies.

Was that it? I thought they kept the churchy bits because one of the orig characters is a dull pastor. Anglican though.
This is what happens when you search the apps for Pride and Prejudice, can't find the good one, and settle for this. Next time I'll try the Bollywood version. Stay tuned.
Verdict is still out on Death comes to Pemberley, a gothic type sequel.

Orion and the Dark
Netflix knockoff of Inside Out combined with some attempt at multiverse storytelling.
Animation style was weird - apparently they were going for some kind of "mixed medium" look but it just felt super low-rent. The cars looked like really bad primitive CGI like the original Toy Story dog.
The characters and the world's rules didn't really make sense - night's "team" had Sleep, who puts people to sleep, plus Insomnia, who keeps people awake. Also Quiet, who removes sounds so people can sleep, but also "Weird Noises," who makes weird noises so people can't sleep. Somehow though their goals are in direct conflict but that's never addressed interpersonally?
And the whole story is basically an awkward boy that can't tell that the girl he likes actually likes him. I feel like we've done that premise enough. Would not recommend.

Twisters
This is a silly, crap movie. Crap writing, Crap directing. Crap score. Crap blows up and around good I guess.
Plus a half-star if you like Dodge/Ram.

The ads, alone, told me it would be a crap movie. Glad to see there was some truth in the advertising.

I haven't watched it yet but I've learned to stomp my expectations into the dirt for all these long-range sequel/remake/cash-ins.
Hollywood is so risk averse that they don't dare leave anything from the old films out of the new ones and then they either don't have room or just don't make the effort to add anything.
I still haven't watched the sequel to Coming to America. I'm pretty sure its bad though.

It can work. With this I was a little hopeful because Burton has enough power to push back the suits. Unfortunately he’s only good about a quarter of the time.
I was hearing it was decent, which in hindsight was probably astroturfed.

Suggest watching and forming your own opinion. I haven't seen it, but RottenTomatoes disagrees with subego. 77% critics, 80% audience.

Maybe form your own opinion after it’s less than $20.
I was thinking I might be being too hard on it, but FWIW neither my dad or my ex liked it. So, subego audience score of 0%.

When’s the last time Tim Burton made a good movie?

I didn't hate the Alice in wonderlands, say, as much as I hated his Willie Wonka.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children wasnt ... bad, but the things it changed from the book were annoying and superficial.
dark shadows was fun in a campy way.
Wednesday was pretty good, but that's tv.

That’s the first one I’d give you. I don’t like it myself and think it’s overrated, but I get I’m in the minority.
I think Tim Burton is completely overrated. I don’t think he’s done anything worth watching since Batman Returns, and has only a handful of movies in his catalog even worth watching. I have no idea how he gets money to make more movies or who watches them. Obviously not for my tastes. But he certainly has a distinctive style, I guess.

Big Fish was like, good enough. It wasn’t brilliant or anything. Ed Wood was genuinely good.
I agree he’s overrated.

You’re right, I’d put Ed Wood in there too. I first thought it was before BR but must have been after.
