hey all, my sister needed a laptop for college and my parents left it in my hands to pick the right one for her. I ordered the base macbook. It should be here tomorrow.

There have been so many horror stories about them, how many have you have one with no problems and love it? crossing my fingers that there will be no problems with it tomorrow.

I love the macbook. No horror stories here - works great, looks cool, and it's pretty fast. What else competes with it for the price?
My only complaint is that many programs in intel based macs are still not universal, slowing the otherwise speedy performance. That will change soon though.
So, great choice, I love mine.

Mine works like a champ. It's a bit hot and I can't get used to the glare on the screen but those are my only complaints.
